SUGAR LAND, Texas (AP) _ CVR Energy Inc. (CVI) on Monday reported a second-quarter loss of $5 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Sugar Land, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 44 cents per share.

The diversified holding company posted revenue of $675 million in the period.

CVR shares have decreased 53% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $18.99, a decline of 63% in the last 12 months.
