TOKYO (AP) _ Honda Motor Co. (HMC) on Wednesday reported a fiscal first-quarter loss of $751.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Tokyo-based company said it had a loss of 44 cents per share.

The automaker posted revenue of $19.75 billion in the period.

Honda shares have dropped slightly more than 8% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed roughly 8% in the last 12 months.
