FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (AP) _ Acushnet Holdings Corp. (GOLF) on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $2.3 million.

The Fairhaven, Massachusetts-based company said it had net income of 3 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 19 cents per share.

The golf products maker posted revenue of $300 million in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $336.9 million.

Acushnet shares have climbed 21% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 59% in the last 12 months.
