Communications services companies fell slightly as investors hedged their bets on the outlook for growth in the sector. Shares of Netflix and Zoom Video Communications fell sharply as a strong July jobs report suggested that fears of renewed coronavirus outbreaks keeping people at home may be overstated. Both services are seen as benefiting from "stay-at-home" trends and could lose some of their luster if Americans begin to venture out more for work and play. Dish Network's second-quarter profit jumped as its pay-TV unit trimmed costs and suffered milder customer losses than some of its rivals.
