Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC said on Thursday that it has been awarded a multi-million euros contract by China National Nuclear Corporation to provide pressure transmitters to two nuclear reactors currently being built in China.

The U.K. engineering company said that as part of the contract it will provide over 200 Bibloc safety-classified pressure transmitters, as well as associated accessories such as cables, connections, and electronics.

The company said the transmitters are used for precise and reliable pressure, flow and level measurements "in nuclear severe accident environments" and that they are qualified for 60 years of operation.

The company said the transmitters are designed, manufactured and tested by its nuclear instrumentation & control teams in France.
