Schroders is today announcing that Andy Chorlton has been named as Schroders Head of Fixed Income, after a decade Philippe Lespinard is stepping down from his role as Head of Fixed Income.

This carefully managed succession plan will take effect from 1 October and will be completed by the end of March 2021 upon Philippe's departure. Andy will report to Charles Prideaux, Global Head of Investment, and will join Schroders Group Management Committee.

Most recently, Andy has been Schroders' Head of US Multi-Sector & Fixed Income Solutions, having spent the past 20 years specialising in Fixed Income investing. He joined Schroders New York office in 2013 following the acquisition of STW Fixed Income in the US and returned to the UK in August 2019.

New York-based Lisa Hornby, Fixed Income Fund Manager, will take over Andy's responsibilities as Head of US Multi-Sector Fixed Income, supported by Schroders' long-standing team and experienced portfolio managers Neil Sutherland, Julio Bonilla and Ryan Mostafa.

Lisa Hornby will lead the team from New York and continue to report to Andy Chorlton.

Charles Prideaux, Schroders' Global Head of Investment, commented:

'Andy will build on the strength of Schroders Fixed Income investment platform, which delivers investment research and high alpha flagship strategies alongside investment solutions to meet clients' increasingly complex investment needs. Andy's fixed income investment experience meant he was the stand-out candidate to succeed Philippe and we are convinced he will continue to drive our focus on client performance as well as the growth of the platform.

'We would like to thank Philippe for all his hard work and dedication in helping to establish a successful Fixed Income business which now oversees more than £100 billion in assets. The business boasts a strong bench of investment talent and Schroders wishes him all the best for the future. These changes demonstrate Schroders' commitment to career development and supporting its in-house expertise.'
