A fire has broken out in the Renström mine operated by Boliden, according to SVT Nyheter. Seventy-two employees have been sheltered inside the mine, and there are currently no reports of injuries.
Rescue services report that a ventilation duct in the ceiling caught fire.
The personnel who have been sheltered are located 1,700 meters below ground.
