China 1st Half Exports +6.1% on Year in Yuan Terms : Customs

BEIJING--China's exports rose 6.1% in the first half of the year from a year earlier, while imports increased 1.4%, official data showed Friday.

The country had a trade surplus of 1.23 trillion yuan ($179 billion) in the January-to-June period, the General Administration of Customs said.

Over the first five months, China's imports rose 6.1%, while imports were up 1.8%, leading to a trade surplus of CNY893.4 billion.
