QUEBEC CITY (AP) _ Exfo Inc. (EXFO) on Thursday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $4 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Quebec City-based company said it had a loss of 7 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 5 cents per share.
The telecommunications testing company posted revenue of $69.2 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $71.8 million.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $11.9 million, or 22 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $269.5 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Exfo said it expects revenue in the range of $66 million to $71 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $3.56. A year ago, they were trading at $4.03.
