NAIROBI (Reuters) - The Kenyan shilling weakened against the dollar on Thursday due to a spike in dollar demand from oil and merchandise importers, traders said.

At 0733 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 101.45/65 per dollar, compared with 101.35/55 at Wednesday's close.
