ETFs exposed to US consumer Discretionary stocks experienced a devastating day as they lost more than $268 million of assets and -2.84% in performance over Thursday. Many factors weighed on the performance of US stocks, brought forward by the massive sell-off and year-end positioning of major investors and finally by the threat of a U.S. Government shutdown. The US Consumer Discretionary Stocks segment has suffered from massive outflows over the last month as it lost $881.6 million and fell by 7.61%. The segment is composed of 12 ETFs replicating 11 indices with $15 Bn in assets under management.
