Solar energy company Absolicon has announced that a major project has reached the final stage of an application process. If approved, the project will result in the installation of a fully funded pilot facility, according to a press release.

A specific project application for the construction of pilot facilities was submitted in the summer of 2025, in collaboration with companies utilizing various technologies for heat production. The project has now advanced to the final stage, competing with other initiatives. Within the project, Absolicon is responsible for establishing a solar thermal field in a partner country. The value of the work and solar collectors included in the application amounts to 9 million Swedish kronor, which would cover all of Absolicon's material costs and labor.

The project remains conditional, particularly on the absence of appeals and confirmation of co-financing, both of which may present challenges. Should the project move forward, it is set to run for 18 months, necessitating the rapid commencement of the solar collector field's construction in spring 2026.
