Aircraft washing company Aerowash has received a positive award decision from International Airlines Group (IAG) following a tender for washing robots for British Airways' operations at London Heathrow Airport, according to a press release.
The next step is to sign a final delivery agreement within approximately three weeks. The deal includes several washing robots and is planned to be implemented through a multi-year lease agreement.
"This is a true milestone for Aerowash. Being selected by one of the world's leading airline groups is a strong recognition of our technology and our organization. This demonstrates once again that Aerowash is a leading provider in this niche segment," says Niklas Adler, CEO of Aerowash.
British Airways at Heathrow is expected to become a strategically important reference customer, and the deal is assessed to potentially create further business opportunities within the IAG Group and the aviation industry at large.
