Engineering consultancy Afry has signed an agreement to acquire AMC, a global consulting firm in the mining sector with approximately 170 employees. The acquisition expands Afry's capacity across the entire mining lifecycle and opens new strategic markets for the Mining & Metals segment, according to a press release.
Founded in 1983, AMC specializes in mineral reserve estimation, mine planning, and strategic advisory services, and maintains client relationships with over 90% of the world's 50 largest mining companies. The company reported revenues of about 57 million Australian dollars in 2025.
The acquisition covers all shares in the parent company Ausmincon Holdings and will be carried out through a so-called scheme of arrangement in Australia, with completion planned for mid-second quarter 2026, subject to customary approvals. No financial details were disclosed.
