Engineering consultancy firms Afry and Sweco have been selected to design the Finnish railway project Rail Nordica, according to a press release.

The assignments involve planning a new rail link between Finland and Sweden, including geotechnical surveys, permitting processes, and detailed engineering. The projects are scheduled to run until 2030.

The order value amounts to approximately 9 million euros for each company.
