Engineering consultancy Afry has been awarded a new contract by Acelen Renewables to provide project services for the construction of a biofuel facility in Brazil, according to a press release.

The mandate covers engineering and project management services, building upon Afry's previous involvement in the venture. The plant is expected to produce approximately 1 billion liters of biofuel annually, including renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Production is scheduled to commence in 2029, forming a key part of Acelen's strategic push into renewable fuels. Financial details regarding the order were not disclosed.
