Airbus appointed Matthieu Louvot as chief executive of its helicopters operations.

The European aircraft manufacturer said Louvot, currently executive vice-president of strategy for the group, would succeed Bruno Even as Airbus Helicopters CEO as of April 1. He will also join the company's executive committee.

Airbus said Even had opted to leave the company. Louvot's replacement in the EVP strategy role will be announced at a later date.
