Alstom announced on Thursday that it has signed a contract to deliver 26 additional double-decker Coradia Max trains to the Landesanstalt Schienenfahrzeuge Baden-Württemberg (SFBW) in Germany.

"The value of this order for the 26 additional trains and the comprehensive long-term service contract amounts to approximately 500 million euros," according to a statement from the group.

Delivery of the trains is scheduled between mid and late 2028, the statement specified.

The double-decker trains will enter service starting in December 2026 and will gradually be deployed on various lines across Baden-Württemberg, Alstom added.
