Humanoid robot company Apptronik raised $520 million in a funding round that included Google, Mercedes-Benz, John Deere and AT&T Ventures.

The round brought Apptronik's total Series A funding to more than $935 million.

Apptronik said it would use the investment to ramp up production of its humanoid robot Apollo, expand deployments and build new facilities for robot training and data collection.

The company also will allocate some of the funding to continued innovation, including a new robot set to debut this year.

B Capital, PEAK6 and the Qatar Investment Authority also participated in the funding round.
