Board game company Asmodee has entered into an agreement with streaming giant Netflix, which has acquired the exclusive global rights to adapt the board game Ticket to Ride. This was announced in a press release.
The deal covers both scripted and unscripted projects across film, television series, and other formats, marking the first film and TV adaptation of the game.
The first project to be developed under the agreement is a feature film, with a script written by Ben Mekler and Chris Amick.
The board game Ticket to Ride has sold over 20 million copies and has been translated into more than 30 languages over the course of 21 years.
