Atos has announced that it has been selected by Alsea, a leading restaurant franchise operator in Latin America and Europe with over 4,000 outlets across 11 countries, to spearhead its SAP modernization strategy.
The project involved transitioning from the Tres Cantos data center in Madrid to SAP RISE on AWS, with deployments in Virginia and Texas. Beyond infrastructure migration, the scope included an extensive technical and functional optimization of Alsea's SAP systems.
More than 1,200 business processes were reviewed and refined, while 5,000 ABAP programs were adapted to ensure compatibility and performance within the new environment. Additionally, 72 critical interfaces were successfully migrated and integrated.
The French IT services group supported Alsea throughout this journey, managing a complex migration to SAP RISE that has bolstered operational agility and accelerated digital transformation.
Operating international brands such as Starbucks, Domino's Pizza, and Vips, Alsea "now benefits from a more resilient platform, designed to support continued future growth," according to Atos.
AtoS SE is one of the world leaders in IT services. The group's activity is organized around three sectors:
- outsourcing services and consulting services;
- system integration;
- supply of transaction services: electronic payment transaction processing, remote payment management, development of payment solutions, etc. The group also develops an externalization of operating processes activity.
