Car registrations in Italy for January totaled 141,980 units, marking a 6.18% increase compared to the same month in 2025, according to data released by the Ministry of Transport.

The Stellantis group – which includes among others the brands Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Opel, Citroën/Ds, Leapmotor – saw a jump of around 11% last month, based on Reuters calculations, with its market share rising to 32.6%.

Tesla car registrations amounted to 713 units, soaring 74.75% year-on-year, for a market share of 0.5%.

Byd registered 3,553 units in January, surging 329.6% year-on-year, with a 2.5% market share.
