As a result, Micron and Nvidia, along with GE Aerospace, were among the most heavily purchased stocks.
Investor and Nibe also featured prominently on the buy list, as did Latour, which recently divested large stakes in Assa Abloy and Securitas.
'Investment company Latour has had a sour month on the market following its report and also chose to divest parts of its holdings in Securitas and Assa Abloy during May. Retail investors have noted this and are choosing to go completely against the grain. Latour may be selling, but our customers are instead choosing to pick up Assa Abloy, while also taking the opportunity to increase their positions in Latour during the slump', says Elin Benjaminsson, equity strategist at Avanza.
On the sell side, Sivers Semiconductors, Handelsbanken, and Swedbank dominated. According to Avanza, several Swedish blue chips were sold off following the spring dividend season as savers sought exposure to sectors with stronger price momentum.
