Batu Kawan Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company. The Company operates through four segments: Plantation, Manufacturing, Property Development, and Investment holding/Others. Plantation segment is engaged in the cultivation and processing of palm and rubber products. Manufacturing segment is engaged in the manufacturing of chemicals and transportation services, oleochemicals, non-ionic surfactants and esters, rubber gloves, parquet flooring products, pharmaceutical products, storing and distribution of bulk liquid, refining of palm products, kernel crushing and trading of palm products. Property development segment is engaged in the development of residential and commercial properties. Investment holding/Others segment includes investment in quoted and unquoted corporations, investment in money market funds and placement of deposits with licensed banks, Australia property investment, farming, management services and specialty chemical manufacturing by an associate.
