Danish biotech firm Bavarian Nordic has proposed the re-election of four board members and the appointment of three new directors ahead of its annual general meeting on April 21.

Montse Montaner is set to step down from the board, while Charl van Zyl, Hans Martin Smith, and Svend Andersen have been nominated as new members. Additionally, a shareholder has nominated Lars Wismann, a proposal the board does not support.

Andersen previously held executive roles at companies including Perrigo and currently serves on the board of the Lundbeck Foundation. Van Zyl was formerly Head of Neurology & EU/International Markets at UCB Biopharm and is the current CEO of Lundbeck. Smith, a former CFO of Vestas, is currently the CEO of VKR Holding and serves on the board of Schouw & Co.
