Bonava and OBOS Nya Hem will initiate development of a new joint housing project in central Gothenburg. The partnership means that Bonava and OBOS, through a joint venture, will acquire four properties that will be developed into approximately 75 housing units. Bonava and OBOS will now take the next step in the development of new housing units on Utlandagatan in theohanneberg neighbourhood of Gothenburg.
The new block will contain an estimated 75 apartments. Work on the detailed development plan has started, with handover scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. The project is being developed in a close partnership between Bonava and OBOS through a 50/50 joint venture.
It marks the culmination of long-term dialogue and strategic land acquisition, which will now strengthen the footprint of both companies in Gothenburg. The partnership builds on the joint venture established by Bonava and OBOS in conjunction with the development of the Explora block, which contains 207 apartments in Sodra Anggarden and is now being transformed into a modern and vibrant neighbourhood. As a residential developer, Bonava has served the Gothenburg region for many years, developing a number of sustainable neighbourhoods in the region.
Examples in recent years include Kareby Ang in Kungalv (167 single-family homes) and Ojersjo in Partille (125 single-family homes and apartments). Production of Logementet in Kviberg (around 182) is currently underway, with just over 100 apartments already completed.
