This is with reference to our notice number 20251103-46, dated November 3, 2025, regarding updation of correct and valid FATCA/CRS information - Update. Members are hereby informed that, as per the latest communication received from both the RTAs, Ultimate Beneficiary Owner (UBO) Identification Document Type (field name UBO_ID_TY) has undergone revisions.<_o3a_p>
According to existing structure of FATCA/ CRS reporting the following needs to be reported for UBO clients: -<_o3a_p>

Note:<_o3a_p>
Presently, members were allowed to select 13 document type under the UBO_ID_TY (Identification Document Type) while reporting FATCA/CRS information through Manual, Bulk upload and API interface, the same is revised to 10 document type as provided in Annexure I, which shall be implemented on BSE StAR MF platform w.e.f. February 19, 2026.
Further the following may be noted:
If the member provides UBO_PAN, then both UBO_TIN and UBO_ID_TY fields are optional.
If UBO_TIN is provided by the member, then UBO_ID_TY becomes mandatory, and UBO_PAN is optional.
All the members using third party vendor solutions and/or in-house developed trading application are hereby requested to take note of the above and arrange to initiate necessary development at their end.
