The board of directors of China Dongxiang (Group) Co., Ltd. announced that Mr. Du Zhongbing ("Mr. Du") has been appointed as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 13 April 2026. Mr. Du Zhongbing, aged 52, is the founder, executive Director and chairman of the Board of Banu International Holding Ltd. ("Banu International"). Mr. Du founded Banu Hotpot in 2001 and has served as a director of Banu International since its establishment.
In June 2025, Mr. Du was re-designated as an executive director and chairman of the board of directors of Banu International. Mr. Du is responsible for formulating the overall development strategy and business planning of Banu Hotpot, and overseeing the strategy implementation and overall operation. In 2001, driven by an original aspiration to prepare a quality hotpot for family and friends, Mr. Du founded Banu Hotpot.
In 2015, Mr. Du introduced the philosophy of "product-centricism", emphasizing a return to the essence of dining, which quickly emerged as a new trendsetter in the catering industry, influencing industry peers and shaping consumer expectations. Mr. Du attended Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in China from November 2017 to May 2019. Mr. Du has been appointed as a member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee, all with effect from 13 April 2026.
