BEIJING, May 27 (Reuters) - Chinese Premier Li Qiang called for expanding the country's reserve capacity during visits to oil and agricultural reserve bases on Wednesday, China's state broadcaster CCTV reported.

o Li visited the Zhoushan National Oil Reserve Base, one of China's strategic oil reserve sites, a commercial petroleum reserve project and a bulk agricultural products storage and transportation base in eastern China's Zhejiang province.

o He urged improving reserve structure and advancing the construction of different types of reserve facilities to expand reserve capacity.

o He said the proper managing of reserves of bulk commodities and materials was key to managing the economy in a stable manner.

o China is building oil reserve sites at a rapid clip as part of a campaign to boost crude stockpiles, Reuters reported last year.
