BEIJING, Feb 12 (Reuters) - A Chinese metals industry body will hold a policy briefing next month on rare earth and other critical minerals exports, as Beijing tightens controls on strategic materials and steps up oversight of dual-use goods, according to an event notice.

KEY DETAILS:

* The China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals &Chemicals Imports & Exports will hold the event on March 25 inBeijing. * Officials from the Commerce Ministry and customs authoritywill brief metals firms on export controls, customs clearanceand compliance requirements. They will deliver an outlook onChina-U.S. trade relations and broader foreign trade policyunder the next five-year planning cycle. * Market analysis on global supply, demand and overseasresource development for rare earths and metals such astungsten, tin and antimony will also be on the agenda. * Participants include major state-owned and private metalsproducers, including China Rare Earth Group, China Northern RareEarth, Jiangxi Copper, CMOC and Zijin Mining, among others.
