The Dax is set to open higher on Friday, according to price action in the futures markets. U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that an agreement with Iran is imminent, echoing similar statements made over recent weeks. Trump stated that a deal could be reached within the coming days. On Thursday, the German benchmark index closed slightly higher at 24,209.71 points. Wall Street saw significant gains, and the prospect of easing tensions in the Middle East also boosted Asian markets on Friday. In the oil market, the price slide from the previous day continued: prices for North Sea Brent and U.S. WTI each fell by nearly 2 percent to $88.62 and $86.16 per barrel, respectively.

In addition to the geopolitical situation, the SpaceX IPO is expected to dominate headlines as the week draws to a close. Billionaire Elon Musk's aerospace company is debuting on the Nasdaq technology exchange with an offering volume of $75bn, making it the largest IPO of all time. At an issue price of $135 per share, SpaceX is valued at $1.75 trillion. Musk has reserved an unusually large portion, 30 percent of the 555.6m shares offered, for retail investors, among whom he enjoys a massive following. According to experts, the market debut could test the ongoing recovery on the stock exchanges.
