On Monday, the focus remains on developments in the Middle East and Ukraine conflicts. The Israeli Air Force targeted military objectives in Iran overnight. Previously, US President Donald Trump had urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to jeopardize ongoing peace talks between the US and Iran with further military strikes.
Furthermore, the E3 nations - Germany, France, and Great Britain - along with Ukraine, have submitted written conditions under which they are prepared to enter direct talks with Russia. The objective is to achieve a ceasefire and support further negotiations.
The new week of economic data kicks off on Monday with April figures for German industrial orders. It remains to be seen whether the significant increase in March was primarily due to a one-off effect, says Commerzbank economist Ralph Solveen. The Sentix investor confidence index for June is also in focus, providing insight into how market participants view the Eurozone economy.
