FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - On Thursday, the DAX is set to rise again to the round mark of 23,800 points. Around two hours before the start of trading on Xetra, broker IG valued the leading German index at around 0.5 percent higher at 23,803 points.
The day before, the DAX had already risen to 23,838 points, making up for its weak start to the month. Ultimately, however, the gains melted away again.
With slight gains on Wall Street the evening before after the close of European trading, the DAX is making a new attempt. The continued strong recovery of the Japanese Nikkei is also helping./ag/jha/
