Delta Air Lines shares were up 3.2% to $72.45 after hours as Berkshire Hathaway disclosed a new stake in the airline valued at about $2.6 billion as of the end of the first quarter.
As of the market close, Delta shares were up about 1% for the year to date.
Among other airline-related disclosures in 13-F filings, Appaloosa Management exited its holdings in Delta, United Airlines and American Airlines during the first quarter.
Duquesne Family Office eliminated its American and Delta stakes and reduced its United holdings by 85,905 shares to 262,495.
