ING Groep named Ida Lerner, a former finance executive at Norway's DNB Bank, to replace Tanate Phutrakul as its finance chief.
The Dutch lender said that Lerner' would join the management board banking on April 1. Her appointment as executive board member and chief financial officer will be proposed at the bank's annual shareholder meeting later that month, it said on Wednesday.
Phutrakul, whose departure from the bank after seven years as CFO was announced in July, will be stepping down at the April meeting.
Lerner held the CFO role at DNB between 2021 and August this year, when the bank announced that she was leaving after an 18-year career for a job outside of the Nordic region.
ING said Lerner's appointment was approved by European Central Bank.
