Game development company Enad Global 7 has announced that its subsidiary, Daybreak Games, will provide up to an additional $6.5 million to fund the development of Project Avo. The upcoming co-op action game, which is based on a well-known film franchise, is being developed by Cold Iron Studios. According to a press release, the launch window for the game has been moved to the third quarter of 2026.
Cold Iron Studios is a company in which Jason Epstein, Chairman of the Board at EG7, and Ji Ham, CEO of EG7, hold personal financial interests. As a result, the transaction is considered a related-party transaction under current corporate governance regulations. The investment has been reviewed and approved by EG7's agreement oversight committee.
Cold Iron is expected to invest up to $1.2 million in the project.
Daybreak Games will recoup its increased investment, along with other investments in Cold Iron's games, before profits from the game are shared between Daybreak Games and Cold Iron. The commercial terms between Daybreak Games and Cold Iron have been adjusted to reflect the higher investment.
