(Alliance News) - Enel Spa announced on Tuesday that it had purchased 2.8 million of its own shares between February 23 and 27, at a weighted average price of EUR9.7509 each, for a total value of EUR26.9 million.

As of today, the company holds 139.5 million treasury shares, representing 1.4% of its share capital.

On Tuesday, Enel closed down 5.2% at EUR9.47 per share.
