Eni and Petronas have officially formed Searah, a new 50/50 independent joint venture consolidating key operations in Indonesia and Malaysia.

According to a company statement, the JV holds a portfolio of 19 gas production and development assets. It will launch with an initial output of over 300,000 boe/day, aiming to exceed 500,000 boe/day in sustainable production within the next three years.

All necessary regulatory, governmental, and partner approvals have been obtained in both Malaysia and Indonesia, and all conditions precedent have been met, the note added.
