(Alliance News) - Eni Spa announced on Wednesday that between January 2 and 6, it purchased 2.3 million of its own ordinary shares at an average price of EUR17.4228 each, for a total value of EUR40.0 million.

As of today, the company holds 202.2 million shares, equivalent to 6.4% of its share capital.

Eni shares are up 0.8% at EUR18.08 each.
