(Alliance News) - Eni Spa announced on Wednesday that it repurchased 861,111 of its own ordinary shares on May 11.

The shares were acquired at an average unit price of EUR23.2258, for a total consideration of approximately EUR20 million.

Following these transactions, the company holds a total of nearly 88.6 million treasury shares, representing 2.9% of its share capital.

Eni's stock is trading slightly lower at EUR23.86 per share.
