(Alliance News) - Eni Spa announced Tuesday that its subsidiary, Plenitude, has commenced production at the second 200 MW block of the Renopool photovoltaic project, located in the municipality of Solana de los Barros, in the province of Badajoz, Spain.
Renopool is the largest solar project built by the company globally, with a total installed capacity of 330 MW.
The complex consists of a 130 MW plant, which has been in production since June 2025, and a 200 MW facility. The Renopool solar farm comprises approximately 565,000 bifacial modules and is expected to reach an estimated annual output of around 670 GWh.
Construction work began in February 2024 with the development of the northern block, which entered operation in June 2025. The project is now complete with the finalization and commissioning of the southern block.
Plenitude holds an installed renewable energy capacity of approximately 1.8 GW in Spain, operating wind and solar plants in Andalusia, Extremadura, Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Galicia, La Rioja, and Catalonia.
Eni shares were trading up 0.2% at EUR23.54 per share on Tuesday.
