On February 5, Jean Eric Salata, through the company Maximus Elm Investments Holding, purchased 400,000 shares in the private equity firm EQT. The shares were acquired at a price of SEK 292.80 per share, amounting to a transaction value of SEK 117.1 million. The deal was executed on Nasdaq Stockholm, according to the insider registry of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

This transaction follows a previously reported share purchase in EQT on February 4 worth SEK 767 million.

Jean Eric Salata is the head of BPEA EQT and chairman of the board for EQT Asia. He is also a major shareholder and, following this acquisition, owns 122.07 million shares, corresponding to 9.88 percent of the capital and 9.89 percent of the votes in EQT, according to the ownership service Holdings.

Salata has been proposed to succeed Conni Jonsson as chairman of the board of EQT at the annual general meeting in May.
