On February 10, Jean Eric Salata, through his company Maximus Elm Investments Holding, acquired 500,000 shares in the private equity firm EQT. The shares were bought at a price of SEK 304.25 per share, amounting to a transaction value of SEK 152.1 million. The transaction took place on Nasdaq Stockholm, according to the insider registry of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

This deal follows previously reported EQT share purchases in February totaling SEK 884 million.

Jean Eric Salata is the head of BPEA EQT and serves as chairman of EQT Asia. He is also a major shareholder and, following this transaction, holds 123.27 million shares, corresponding to 9.98 percent of the capital and voting rights in EQT, according to the ownership service Holdings.

Salata has been proposed to succeed Conni Jonsson as chairman of the board at EQT during the annual general meeting in May.
