Unisys has been selected by the European Commission (EC) to play a key role in its Cybersecurity Professional Services Framework Contract (FREIA), delivering critical cybersecurity operations to public institutions across the European Union (EU). As part of the EUCybersafe Consortium - led by Unisys and including Uni Systems and Wavestone - the agreement addresses the EU's growing need for advanced operational cyber resilience. A June 2025 EC report illustrates the need for robust cybersecurity strategic management and solutions in the face of complex digital threats.

The report found that nearly 20% of cyber attacks target organizations in public administration, a sector essential for public services and security within the EU. Over this four-year contract, the Consortium will provide essential services, such as risk management, secure architecture design, incident response and threat intelligence, for 71 EU institutions and agencies, including the European Commission, the Council and the European Parliament. As the leader of the EUCyberafe Consortium, Unisys will provide services such as: Continuous Threat Exposure Management: This solution combines modern attack surface management, vulnerability management and threat intelligence.

Fueled by artificial intelligence and machine learning, it helps organizations prepare for the evolving threat landscape. Managed Detection and Response: This solution detects, responds to and mitigates threats and manages incidents in real time. It includes 24/7/365 monitoring to detect potential threats and provides platform management and scalable incident response.

Cyber Recovery: This solution works during crises to restore mission-critical application assets while delivering vault platforms, automation and managed services, among other things.
