(Alliance News) - On Friday, halfway through the trading day, the main European markets reversed course and turned negative.

Economic indicators reveal that exports to China fell by 1.1% in October, while German exports returned to growth of 1.4%.

The average house price in the UK rose more than expected in October: the average price stood at GBP299,862, up 0.6% from September and 1.9% year-on-year.

As a result, the Mib fell 0.3% to 42,951.74 points, the Mid-Cap was slightly down at 56,564.14,

The CAC 40 fell 0.3%, while the DAX 40 and FTSE 100 declined 0.6%.

On the Italian stock exchange, TIM - up 1.8% - has initiated talks with Nvidia for a possible partnership in Italy, as anticipated by CEO Pietro Labriola and Elio Schiavo, head of TIM Enterprise.

Unipol, down 1.8%, closed the first nine months of 2025 with a reported consolidated net profit of EUR 1.12 billion, up from EUR 724 million in the same period of 2024. Taking into account the contribution of banking investments, net profit rose to EUR 1.24 billion compared to EUR 834 million in the previous year.

Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena reported a net profit of EUR 1.37 billion in the nine months, up approximately 18% compared to EUR 1.57 billion in 2024, which included EUR 470 million in positive taxes, compared to EUR 78 million in the same period of 2025. In the third quarter, profit was EUR 474 million. The stock gained 3.7%.

With regard to the banking risk, attention is now shifting to governance after the Mediobanca affair, which is showing a positive balance of 1.9%. In particular, MPS will have to frame the new board of directors of Generali - down 1.1% - appointed in the spring by Mediobanca.

Stellantis, which terminated its supply contract with Alliance Nickel, the Australian company that supplies minerals for electric car batteries, gained 0.3%.

Intesa Sanpaolo, up 0.1%, and Confindustria have signed an agreement that will make EUR 8 billion available to companies in the Marche region until 2028, as part of a EUR 200 billion national program dedicated to investment, innovation, and competitiveness.

Among the losers are Prysmian and Lottomatica, both down 2.6%.

In the mid-cap segment, Banco di Desio e della Brianza closed the nine months with a consolidated net profit of EUR 105.9 million, down 9.0% from EUR 116.4 million in the first nine months of 2024. The annualized return on equity improved to 10.1%, with the cost of risk stable at 22 basis points. The stock is down 1.0%.

The board of Credem - up 0.6% - approved the consolidated results as of September 30, closing the first nine months with a consolidated net profit of EUR 506.4 million, up 4.2% compared to the same period in 2024, equal to EUR 407.7 million, net of the benefit of EUR 98.6 million deriving from the transfer of merchant acquiring activities.

Pirelli & C. recorded growth in its main economic indicators in the first nine months, with revenues of EUR 5.20 billion, an organic increase of 3.7% excluding exchange rate effects, hyperinflation, and the deconsolidation of Däckia. The stock rose 0.5%.

Cementir Holding closed the first nine months with a slight increase in revenues and growing volumes, supported in particular by performance in Turkey and Egypt, while Belgium and Denmark recorded a negative trend. The stock is up 2.1%.

Iren and Nord Engineering presented a new technology agreement at Ecomondo 2025 aimed at introducing advanced waste collection management systems in the cities served by the Group. Iren's stock gained 0.2%.

Salvatore Ferragamo performed well, growing by 2.5%. Zignago Vetro, after its financial results, closed the basket with a minus of 4.5%.

In the small-cap sector, Edison, up 0.4%, carried out its first ship-to-ship refueling in the Adriatic Sea, delivering LNG with its own tanker to the French container ship Cma Cgm Salamanque.

Banca Profilo, flat at EUR 0.158, closed the first nine months of 2025 with a consolidated net profit of EUR 9.4 million, up from EUR 7.2 million in 2024, an increase of 30%.

Elica signed the deed of purchase for 28% of the share capital of Steel Srl. The balance for the purchase of the stake paid by Elica to the selling shareholders, at the time of closing, was equal to 50% of the total amount due, or EUR1.3 million. The remaining 50% had already been paid as a deposit upon signing the preliminary agreement for a total of EUR 2.5 million. The stock is flat at EUR 1.71 per share.

EPH returns to double-digit growth, with purchases of 11% at EUR 0.52 per share. SIT, on the other hand, falls 3.2% to EUR 2.76 per share.

Among SMEs, Esautomotion, which was not traded, reported a 9.1% increase in revenues in the first nine months to EUR 21.8 million from EUR 20.0 million recorded from January to September 2024.

Fope reported product sales of EUR 73.3 million in the first ten months of 2025, up 31% compared to October 31, 2024. The Vicenza-based company, whose stock is up 2.5%, reports continued strong volume growth, in line with the first part of the year.

On Thursday, Almawave's board approved the consolidated results for the first nine months of 2025. The company closed the period with a net profit of EUR 100,000, down sharply from EUR 2.2 million in the same period of 2024. The stock is flat at EUR 4.29 per share. Alantra has issued a 'hold' recommendation with a target price of EUR 4.3.

In contrast, Kruso Kapital closed the first nine months with a net profit of EUR 6.2 million, a sharp increase year-on-year from EUR 2.8 million in the same period last year. The stock is up 1.8%.

Com.Tel saw heavy selling of 8.9%, while Markbass saw strong buying of 7.9%.

In New York, the Dow Jones fell 0.8% to 46,912.30 points, the Nasdaq fell 1.9% to 25,130.04, while the S&P 500 fell 1.1% to 6,720.32 points.

On the currency front, the euro traded at USD 1.1547 from USD 1.1539 at Thursday's stock market close, while the pound traded at USD 1.3104 from USD 1.3108 on Thursday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude traded at USD64.10 per barrel from USD64.09 per barrel at Thursday evening's close, while gold was worth USD4,005.54 per ounce from USD3,978.00 per ounce last night.

On Friday's macroeconomic calendar, Elderson of the ECB will give a speech at 1430 CET.

From the US, the Baker Hughes rig count report will be released at 1900 CET.
