(Alliance News) - Ferragamo Finanziaria Spa, the Ferragamo family holding company and controlling shareholder of Salvatore Ferragamo Spa, announced on Monday the appointment of Fabrizio Freda as Special Strategic Advisor.

In his role, according to the company's press release, "Fabrizio Freda will work alongside the shareholders of Ferragamo Finanziaria, providing the holding company with the skills and experience gained in international contexts, contributing to analysis, strategic choices, and the strengthening of the structure and operations of the Ferragamo Group and the family's other business interests."

In this capacity, "Freda may also support group companies in advisory roles, collaborating on the selection of the future CEO, or assume a position on the Board of Directors of Salvatore Ferragamo."

The collaboration focuses on medium-to-long-term value creation and reinforcing the path undertaken in alignment with the group's founding values.

Fabrizio Freda served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Estée Lauder Companies from 2009 to December 2024; he previously held positions of increasing responsibility for approximately twenty years at Procter & Gamble.

Today, among other roles, he is a member of the Board of Directors of BlackRock, the world's largest asset management firm.

At this stage of his professional career, Freda is dedicating himself to strategic advisory work with a particular focus on growth and development, image and branding, innovation, and the use of new technologies.
