(Alliance News) - The race is on for the renewal of the board of directors of Fiera Milano, Italy's leading listed trade fair operator, 63.8% of which is controlled by Fondazione Fiera Milano.

The board, led by CEO Francesco Conci and chaired by Carlo Bonomi, is due to expire and will be renewed by the spring shareholders' meeting, when the financial statements are approved.

According to rumors gathered by Milano Finanza, the frontrunner for the presidency is Matteo Lunelli, president and CEO of Ferrari wineries and the family holding company.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the 51-year-old entrepreneur is expected to take Bonomi's place.

Lunelli is also vice president of Finanziaria Trentina and, since 2019, president of Fondazione Altagamma, whose board, appointed in 2022, is also nearing the end of its term.
