Shares of banks and other financial institutions rose as private-credit and bitcoin worries abated.
Cryptocurrency firms such as Coinbase Global and Robinhood Markets rallied alongside bitcoin, which shot up roughly 8% to multiweek highs above $73,000.
Among private-credit firms, shares of Blackstone rose 2.9%. Blue Owl rose slightly.
Governments in developed nations are set to sell a record amount of bonds this year in an increasingly risky environment, while a small number of companies plan to borrow heavily to fund building AI capacity, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development said.
