FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Unfazed by the renewed escalation of tensions in the Iran conflict, the German stock market opened in positive territory on Wednesday. However, a fresh bout of weakness in the global technology sector is likely to deter investors from increasing risk exposure ahead of the upcoming US inflation data.
The Dax rose by 0.1 percent to 24,458 points in the opening minutes of trading. The MDax, which tracks mid-cap companies, gained 0.1 percent to reach 31,660 points. The Eurozone's blue-chip index, the EuroStoxx 50, also edged up by 0.1 percent./edh/jha/
