GE Aerospace received a $1.42 billion addition to a previous contract to build engines for the Navy.
Under the contract, the jet-engine maker is building 277 turboshaft engines in support of aircraft production for the Marine Corps.
Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., the Pentagon said Thursday. It is expected to be complete by September 2032.
The contract was first awarded in December 2023 in an amount not to exceed $19.4 million. It was modified in September 2024 and April 2025 as well.
